Right now, the Supreme Court is considering a case where it might force cities to provide funding to foster-care agencies who discriminate against LGBTQ+ foster parents. That’s right: the Supreme Court could say our government can’t stand up for the rights of LGBTQ+ people to provide children with a stable and loving home. 

This case is just the latest example of the threat Republican-appointed justices pose to the rights of LGBTQ+ people. If the Republican-appointed justices continue to put their anti-LGBTQ+ bigotry ahead of the law – as they did when they allowed Trump to proceed with his ban on transgender Americans serving in our military – the rights of LGBTQ+ Americans to be free of discrimination would be at grave risk.
