Marc Elias

Marc Elias is a nationally recognized authority and expert in campaign finance, voting rights, redistricting law, and litigation. He is the Chair of Perkins Coie’s Political Law Group and represents the national Democratic Party, as well as dozens of U.S. senators, governors, representatives and their campaigns, and other Democratic groups. In March, Marc launched DemocracyDocket.com: a new tool in the fight against Republican voter suppression. 

Currently, Marc is leading voting rights litigation in over a dozen states. In the wake of COVID-19, he has repeatedly called upon states to adopt his four pillars to safeguard vote by mail, while simultaneously pushing for states to guarantee protections for in-person voting on Election Day.

Marc is an alumnus of Duke Law School and a proud owner of a Portuguese Water Dog named Bode.
